Arsenal are reportedly set to make a January move for Atletico Bilbao defender Aymeric Laporte.
The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is well aware of the club's defensive frailties at the start of the season, and is now keen on signing up a top-class defender in the next transfer window.
According to The Metro, the North London club have been linked with a £25m switch for Laporte in January.
The report adds that the 20-year-old is considered the perfect fit to replace club captain Per Mertesacker on a long-term basis.
