Former England international Ashley Cole could leave AS Roma in the winter transfer window following a difficult start to the campaign.

Cole joined the Capital outfit on a free transfer from Chelsea over the summer, following manager Jose Mourinho's failure to assure him with regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the veteran left-back is likely to favour a switch to Major League Soccer in the New Year, having failed to feature on a regular basis for Roma.

Cole has made 5 appearances for Roma this season.
