Premier League giants Manchester City and Manchester United are monitoring the progress of Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo, The Star reports.
The 20-year-old has been extensively tracked by United boss Louis van Gaal in recent months, with a £3m bid likely on the cards for his services in the upcoming transfer window.
However, City are considered front-runners to sign the Netherlands international, with his younger brother Rodney already a part of the club's youth academy.
The report adds that the Dutch youngster would be loaned back to Feyenoord for the rest of the campaign, should either club secure his signature in January.
