Roma eyeing move for Petr Cech

11 November 2014 - 23:46

AS Roma will step up their pursuit for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech in the winter transfer window, according to La Repubblica.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Czech international has been benched for much of the league campaign, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho preferring Belgian shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois ahead of him in the pecking order.

La Repubblica claims that Cech is fed up playing second fiddle to Courtois at Stamford Bridge, and will seek for pastures elsewhere in the New Year.

The report adds that Roma are keen on signing up the 32-year-old as they seek to provide tough competition to current number one Morgan De Sanctis
