Bale rebuffs Chelsea transfer

Gareth Bale rejects Chelsea move

15 November 2014 - 03:13

Real Madrid midfield sensation Gareth Bale has rejected the chance to join Chelsea, The Express reports.

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
  • The Wales international has struggled for game-time in recent weeks at the Bernabeu due to the excellent form of Isco, and The Express claims that Blues boss Jose Mourinho is preparing a club-record move for the talented midfielder.

It is understood that the deal would include a record fee of around £90m with wages totalling £60m.

However, the 25-year-old is believed to be keen on retaining his place in the starting line-up at the Bernabeu and has seemingly rejected thoughts of such a move.

Irrespective of this, the West London club will be monitoring Bale's situation, considering the fact that league rivals Manchester United are also interested in the Champions League winner.
