Liverpool are understood to have agreed a fee to sign Malaga goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, according to ESPN.
The Mexican international made his mark during the World Cup finals in Brazil, where he kept the host to a goal-less draw during the group stages.
ESPN claims that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is keen on signing up a replacement for under-fire keeper Simon Mignolet at the start of the New Year.
The report adds that the Merseysiders have agreed a fee of around £3m to sign Ochoa in the upcoming transfer window.
Liverpool are currently 11th in the Premier League with 21 points.
