Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is considering the option of bringing former Everton striker Yakubu back to the Premier League.
The Nigerian international is currently a free-agent following the expiry of his contract at Qatari club Al-Rayyan.
According to The Mirror, Redknapp is keen on signing the Premier League veteran in order to lift the burden on star striker Charlie Austin.
Toronto FC's Jermaine Defoe has also been linked with a switch to Loftus Road, but the Nigerian striker is considered as the cheaper option.
