Former Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka could be set for a shock move to Leicester City. The Croatian defender, 28, is desperate for a return to the Premier League.

Corluka enjoyed a successful career at White Hart Lane and many were disappointed when the Croat decided to quit England. The versatile full back is currently playing in Russia for Lokomotiv Moscow.

It is understood that Leicester are readying their first official bid for the defender and are confident that a deal can be agreed before the end of the January transfer window.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp is said to be closely monitoring Corluka\'s transfer situation and could hijack any move to Leicester City.
