Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly eager to secure the services of Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to The Express.

The Colombia international has been strongly associated with a move to the Premier League since the summer, and Spurs look favourites to land the player's signature this month.

The Express claims that the North London outfit would have to part way with at least £40m to sign the talented striker. In addition to this, Spurs would have to sell off a few of the club's out-of-favour players in order to finance the deal.

Roma are also monitoring the proceedings.
