Liverpool manager has admitted that young winger Raheem Sterling will ink a long-term deal at the Merseyside outfit in the next few days.
The Jamaican-born England international has been strongly tipped to leave the Reds next summer, with Real Madrid understood to be interested in his services.
Rodgers has now insisted that Sterling is 'very happy' at Anfield and it will be only a matter of time before he commits his long-term future to the club.
"Obviously the club are speaking with his representatives on it.I would think that will be concluded very imminently." He said.
"You can see he's very happy, it's nothing to do with Raheem - he wants to be here. Hopefully we'll get a solution on that very soon."
