Manchester United are eyeing a January move for Southampton full-back Nathaniel Clyne, The Star reports.
The 23-year-old has earned his place in the England national setup following his excellent start to the season at Southampton.
According to The Star, United had sent scouts to watch the talented full-back in action during the Saint's 2-1 away win at Newcastle United in the Premier League.
The report adds that United are likely to face stiff competition from Liverpool for the player's services.
It is also believed that the Mancunian giants could turn to Everton's Seamus Coleman, should they fail in their pursuit of Clyne during the winter transfer window.
