England international James Milner is unlikely to leave Manchester City before today's transfer deadline.

  • The talented midfielder's current deal expires at the end of the season, and talks have stalled regarding a contract extension.

    Recent reports revealed that the Citizens could offload the former Aston Villa star during the winter transfer window, with Liverpool keen on landing the player's signature.

    However, it has now been confirmed that City are ready to play the waiting game and will let the 29-year-old to play through his contract.

    Milner has scored three goals in 27 games for City this season.
