Southampton sign Ryan Bertrand on permanent deal

Southampton have completed the signing of defender Ryan Bertrand on a permanent basis from Chelsea, according to BBC Sport.

The English full-back joined the Saints on loan for the season from the Blues.

Reports had revealed that the England international would wait until the summer to decide on his future at the South Coast.

However, BBC Sport has now confirmed that the Saints have completed the signing of the talented left-back following his successful loan spell.

Bertrand has scored two goals in 18 league games for his club this season.
