Palermo are chasing Ajax's defensive player Hedwiges Maduro and a fee of £5m is estimated. The 22 year old had been linked with a move to Real Betis, but Palermo are keen to sign Maduro who could use him as a replacement if Barzagli decides to leave.
The player is a versatile one, and is capable of playing in a both central defence, right back or central midfield.
