Manchester United are believed to have turned down an option to sign former player Cristiano Ronaldo. The forward had been linked with a move back to England in the January transfer window.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • According to various reports this morning, United have first option on the Portugal international and were offered the chance to sign Ronaldo for a fee of 95 million euros. Louis van Gaal apparently changed his mind on a deal at the very last minute. It is understood that Ronaldo is now close to agreeing a deal that will see him stay with Real Madrid for the rest of his career.
