Manchester United are believed to have turned down an option to sign former player Cristiano Ronaldo. The forward had been linked with a move back to England in the January transfer window.
According to various reports this morning, United have first option on the Portugal international and were offered the chance to sign Ronaldo for a fee of 95 million euros. Louis van Gaal apparently changed his mind on a deal at the very last minute. It is understood that Ronaldo is now close to agreeing a deal that will see him stay with Real Madrid for the rest of his career.
