Everton are ready to tempt Inter Milan into the sale of midfielder Mateo Kovacic in the summer, according to a report.

The 20-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Dinamo Zagreb in the summer of 2013 and has since then transformed into one of the most attractive prospects in European football.

According to Sportske Novosti, the talented youngster has attracted interested from a host of European clubs in recent months, with the Toffees considered favourites to land his services at the end of the season.

The report adds that the Merseysiders are confident that a bid of around £14m would be sufficient to sign up the Croatian international.

Kovacic has notched up eight goals in 29 appearances for the Nerazzurri this season.
