Chelsea could consider the option of re-signing former midfielder Kevin de Bruyne at the end of the season.
The Blues boss Jose Mourinho opted to offload the Belgian international last summer to Wolfsburg as he did not fit into the club's first-team plans.
Since then the 23-year-old has gone on to score 22 goals in all competitions for the Wolves, thereby attracting attention from a host of top clubs in Europe.
It is now understood that the West London giants could attempt to re-sign the talented midfielder in the summer, but are likely to face stiff competition from Manchester City, who are believed to be tracking the player's progress in recent weeks.
