Morgan Schneiderlin open to Southampton exit

26 March 2015 - 11:52

Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted that he could seek a move away from Southampton in order to fulfill his ambition of playing in the Champions League.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The French midfielder has been one of the stand out performers for the Saints in recent seasons, and this has attracted interest from top clubs in the Premier League.

Schneiderlin has now revealed to L'Equipe that he could leave South Coast in the summer, should the Saints fail to clinch a top-four spot.

"In August, I wanted to take a move but the club had lost too many players to agree to sell me," He said.

"Since then I have had discussions with the leaders and I want to play at the highest level: it is important at 25 years old to finally know the Champions League."

Southampton are currently sixth in the Premier League, sixth points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester United.
