Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels has insisted that he has not made any promise to join Manchester United in the summer.
The German international had been speculated to have agreed on a summer switch to the Premier League with Manchester United last month.
Hummels has now taken to Twitter to reveal that rumours of him joining United were false.
"To clarify it: this supposed "promise" is simply fictitious and that's the friendly formation." Read the tweet.
Hummels was part of the German national side that won the World Cup in Brazil last year.
