The Barcelona midfielder is currently plying his trade on loan at Sevilla for the season.

According to Metro, Reds boss Brendan Rodgers was impressed by the player's showing for Everton on a temporary basis last season.

The report adds that Rodgers will look to make a surprise bid to sign up the talented playmaker during the summer transfer window.

Deulofeu has had a quiet season at Sevilla, scoring a solitary league goal in 16 games so far.
