Arsenal boss rubbishes Wilshere exit rumours

10 April 2015 - 00:01

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that England star Jack Wilshere will not leave the club for Manchester City in the summer.

  • Chelsea set to sign Crystal Palace star for £47m
  • Man Utd aiming to beat Liverpool to 25yo midfielder

  • The England international, who has just returned to full fitness following a long-term lay-off with an ankle injury, has been linked with a switch to the Citizens in recent weeks.

Wenger has now admitted that the club are in a good financial position and would not have to sell off their top players this summer.

"We are not in a position anymore where we have to sell our best players." Wenger said in a press conference.

"Everybody can have a really big impact over the rest of the season, Jack included. That depends on the game, the fitness, the availability and the need of the team. Everybody is exactly the same."

Wilshere could feature in the Gunners' away trip to Burnley on Saturday.
