Manchester City will look to land the services of Brazilian forward Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in the summer.

Coutinho signed a contract extension at the Reds in February this year, but City are confident that they can ink a deal for the player at the end of the season.

According to The Star, the Citizens will look to tempt the Reds with an offer in the region of £35m during the summer transfer window.

It is also understood that Coutinho\'s eagerness to play Champions League football could force the Merseysiders into accepting a substantial bid for his signature.
