Manchester United have begun talks with Napoli regarding a move for star striker Edinson Cavani this summer.
The talented forward joined Les Parisiens from Napoli in 2013, and has since then played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the centre-forward role.
A host of top European clubs have been associated with the player's services in recent weeks, but the Express now cites that the Mancunian giants have decided to lead the chase by opening up talks over the player's switch to Old Trafford next season.
United would have to pay at least £55m to land Cavani's signature in the summer.
