Philippe Coutinho has silenced those who claimed the Brazilian would leave Liverpool for a new club this summer and put pen to paper on a fresh contract. The Anfield club agreed a 5 year contract with the former Inter Milan star earlier this year.

  • Coutinho agreed a new contract at Anfield back in February, signing a mega money deal with the 5th placed Premier League side.

"Liverpool have always shown a great warmth to me so when they came to me with a proposal I did not need to think twice to renew the contract," said Coutinho.

"I have always been looked after very well by this football club and I am very happy at this football club, so I didn’t even have to think about it. My mind is at Liverpool, I’m a Liverpool player and I don’t think about moving elsewhere because I am happy here and want to be here."
