Manchester United have reportedly launched a summer offer for Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels, according to a report.

The Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is believed to be a huge admirer of the German international.

According to German sports daily Bild, United have moved a step closer by making a summer bid of £21.5m for the player's services.

Hummels had made 240 appearances for Dortmund upto now.
