Arsenal skipper Mikel Arteta is understood to have a sealed one-year contract extension at the club, according to a report.
Arteta joined the Gunners from Everton in 2011, and has since then been a main stay in the club first-team setup.
However, the Spanish midfielder has not featured for the club since the end of November due to a series of calf and ankle injuries.
The Express now cites that the former Toffees man has signed a deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2016.
Arteta's current deal was due to expire at the end of the season.
