Chelsea suffer double transfer blow

Chelsea to fail in pursuit of Atletico pair

Chelsea suffer double transfer blow

15 May 2015 - 05:24

Chelsea look unlikely to secure the services of two of their main targets this summer.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Blues were believed to be keen on acquiring the signature of Atletico Madrid duo of Antoine Griezmann and Koke for a combined fee of around £70m during the summer transfer window.

However, it is now believed that the Basque outfit will offer new deals to the midfield pairing, thereby raising their combined release clause to £100m.

Chelsea are understood to have a transfer kitty of around £75m to spend for the summer.
