They Walcott sets contract deadline

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has told the Gunners that they have until September 1st to sign a new deal otherwise he will join a new club. The England international spent most of last season on the sidelines.

With just 12 months remaining on his current contract Walcott has been holding off on agreeing a new contract with the club he joined as a youngster from Southampton. Walcott has instead indicated that Arsenal must prove their ambitions in the league and in the transfer market if he is to sign a new deal.
