Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is eager to sign up Sunderland striker Jermaine Defoe this summer.
The former England international joined the Black Cats from Toronto FC in January, and has since then scored four goals to help his side beat the drop.
According to The People, Howe will push to sign up Defoe in the summer, as he wants to partner him alongside Liverpool's Rickie Lambert in the club's frontline next season.
Defoe scored 18 goals for the Cherries in a loan spell during the 2000-01 season.
