26 May 2015 - 14:43

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is keen on bringing in on of La Liga's best this summer, The Guardian reports.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • France international Karim Benzema has been in top form for Real Madrid in recent seasons.

However, the former Lyon star is not a fan favourite at the Bernabeu, and has been tipped to exit the former European champions this summer, as the club's hierarchy plan to bring in a young striker.

According to The Guardian, United manager Louis van Gaal is keen on signing up the talented marksman, who notched up 22 goals for Los Blancos last season.

It is added that no offers will be considered for the 27-year-old until Real's appointment of a new manager.

Premier League rivals Arsenal are also interested in the £40m-rated striker.
