The England international has been tipped to exit the Reds this summer, as he is discontent with the lack of Champions League football.

Reports now reveal that Van Gaal is confident that he can lure Sterling to Old Trafford this summer.

United look set lodge an initial offer of around £25m to land his signature.

However, the Reds are unlikely to accept anything less than £50m for the 20-year-old.
