It was confirmed on Wednesday that Liverpool have decided to part ways with the former Pompey star, allowing him to move on a free transfer at the end of the month.

Liverpool Echo now claims that the right-back has held talks with Besiktas, and will join them on a two-year deal on July 1.

Roma had been previously linked with the player's signature.
