Glen Johnson close to Besiktas move

England international Glen Johnson is closing on Bosman move to Turkish giants Besiktas.

It was confirmed on Wednesday that Liverpool have decided to part ways with the former Pompey star, allowing him to move on a free transfer at the end of the month.

Liverpool Echo now claims that the right-back has held talks with Besiktas, and will join them on a two-year deal on July 1.

Roma had been previously linked with the player's signature.
