The French international has turned into one of Europe's most-sought midfielders since his transfer from Manchester United in 2012.

City were understood to be eyeing a summer move for the talented midfielder, but have now pulled out of the race, as the Frenchman favours a switch to La Liga with European Champions Barcelona.

Should Pogba join the Catalan giants this summer, he would have to wait until the New Year to feature for the club due to their transfer ban.
