Manchester United's out-of-winger Nani has rejected a summer move to Primeira Liga giants Benfica.

The Portuguese international was deemed surplus to requirements with Louis van Gaal's arrival, and was shipped out on loan to Sporting Lisbon for last season.

However, Sporting opted against a permanent deal, meaning that the talented winger would return to Old Trafford in the summer.

Nani has now rebuffed the chance to join Benfica, as it would harm his relations with his hometown club Sporting.
