Andrea Barzagli to Juventus

Andrea Barzagli to Juventus

28 December 2007 - 23:37

Italy and Palermo's international defender Andrea Barzagli could be making a move to Claudio Ranieri's Juventus in January. The defender had been linked with a move to the Premiership, but it seems as if he may be staying in Serie A with a move to Juve.

  • The Bianconeri are looking to sign a top-class centre-back and they have been linked with a host of players including Lokomotic Moscow’s Branislav Ivanovic.

However, it seems they may turn their attentions to Palermo's coveted defender Andrea Barzagli instead. The Italian international is valued at around £9 million in his homeland.

The 26-year-old was set to sign for Juventus for the start of the 2006/07 season but the deal was scrapped.

Juventus may offer 20-year-old Domenico Criscito on loan to make sure they land their man.
