Manchester City could make a summer swoop for Aston Villa skipper Fabian Delph following shocking reports that the player has an astonishingly low release clause of just £10m in his current contract.

  • The England international signed a new contract at Villa Park last winter to end speculation regarding his future at the club.

However, The Mirror now cites that the Citizens could reignite their interest in the talented midfielder, having known of the lowly £10m buy-out clause in his new contract.

Delph was one of the stand out performers for the Villains, who finished 17th in the Premier League last season.
