Colombian striker Jackson Martinez is to complete a 25 million euro transfer from Porto to Atletico Madrid. The talented striker had been watched by a host of Premier League sides.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone had made Jackson Martinez his number 1 transfer target for the summer and will be delighted to secure the player's signature.

Martinez confirmed the move saying: “I can confirm I am going to Atlético. I am going there for four years but I still don’t know when I will be introduced.

“I have had great progression, always learning, always growing and now I’m going to Atlético where I hope to help the team and continue to grow as a player.”
