Arsenal boss prefers William Carvalho over Arturo Vidal

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will reportedly opt to sign Sporting Lisbon's William Carvalho over Arturo Vidal this summer.

Vidal has been recently rumoured to have agreed personal terms at the Emirates, in spite of Wenger rubbished talks over the Chilean earlier this month.

Reports in Portugal claim that Wenger wants to bring in a much younger player in Carvalho to the Emirates, and will look to make a fresh offer for the Portugal international next month.

William Carvalho has also been linked with Premier League rivals Manchester United over the past year.
