Manchester United may well struggle to capture the signature of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal was confident of landing the Frenchman's signature before pre-season.

However, they have now received a huge dent in the progress, as the Saints are unlikely to offload their star asset for anything less than £30m during this summer's transfer window.

Schneiderlin has been a main stay at St.Mary's, despite the departure of several first-team players in recent seasons.
