Chilean international Arturo Vidal has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid, following the lack of interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal and Manchester United.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso

  • The Juventus midfielder was understood to be keen on plying his trade in the Premier League, but the Gunners and Red Devils dropped interest in the 28-year-old following his drunk-driving incident in Santiago.

Chilean newspaper La Tercera cites that Los Blancos are not deterred by Vidal's off field issues, and have agreed personal terms with the player.

A transfer fee has yet to be agreed with the Turin giants.

Vidal is expected to feature for hosts Chile against Argentina in the Copa America final on Saturday night.
