Arsenal will offer a new improved contract to defender Carl Jenkinson before he makes his second successive loan transfer to West Ham United.

The England international had been tipped to leave the Emirates on a permanent basis during the summer transfer window, but manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that the talented full-back will not be offloaded on a permanent basis as he has a huge role to play in the club\'s setup in years to come.

It is now understood that Wenger will allow Jenkinson join the Hammers for another loan spell this summer.

However, the club will look to offer a fresh deal on an improved wage structure to the young defender before he makes his season-long loan move.
