31 December 2007 - 00:01

After watching Liverpool battle to a bore draw with Man City at the City of Manchester stadium, Spanish coach Rafa Benitez expressed his disappointment at his sides failure to earn three points.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • In a dour match, Liverpool failed to break the Man City defence thanks to some inspired defending from Richard Dunne and Joe Hart in goal.

Benitez had said: "It was a good game, a good effort. We played really well and created lots of chances.

"But credit to City, we know they are playing well at home, they have a fantastic record, but we had chances to score and I think we deserved to win.

"Their keeper and defenders were really good. We were creating a lot of chances and it wasn’t easy but we still did a good job."
