The former Real star is expected to make way from Napoli this summer, following their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Arsenal were believed to be interested in signing up the talented hitman, but reports in Italy cite that the Red Devils are the front-runners to land the 27-year-old's signature, should he be up for sale this summer.

Napoli could well do with the sale of their star asset to ease some of their financial burdens.
