In the January transfer window, it is believed that records are to be broken in the Premiership. Two seasons ago Premiership sides spent £70 million, but it is believed this season the record will be broken by far.

  • The combination of clubs newly enriched by a £1.7 billion TV deal and owners with a lot of cash; the Premiership sides are set to record on spending.



    Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with striker Nicolas Anelka of Bolton Wanderers who would cost in the region of £15 million.



    Ronaldinho has been linked with Chelsea in a £24 million deal; whilst Luka Modric could also move to Stamford Bridge for £15 million.



    Man Utd are being persistently linked with the signing of Dimitar Berbatov, who this morning revealed he would like to leave the club.
