Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has admitted that Inter Milan winger Xherdan Shaqiri is unlikely to make his move to the Britannia Stadium this summer.
The Swiss international was believed to be close to joining the Potters until the deal was put off.
Hughes had now insisted that the club could not get a deal done with Shaqiri, as the former Basel star was unhappy with the terms offered.
He added that Potters are unlikely to make a fresh offer, and will look for new targets elsewhere.
Shaqiri made 15 appearances for Inter Milan following his move from Bayern Munich last winter.
