Chelsea will come up with a fresh offer for Everton defender John Stones after their initial £20m offer was rebuffed.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao

  • Blues boss Jose Mourinho is keen on signing up the talented central defender, as he aims to bring in a long-term replacement for John Terry this summer.

However, the Premier League holders had their first offer of £20m rejected by the Toffees, as it was way below their valuation for the England international.

The Express now cites the Blues will make a new bid in the region of £30m for the former Barnsley graduate,

Stones has recently insisted that he is very happy at Everton in spite of interest from the West London giants.
