Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has revealed his disappointment after watching his new side slip a 2-1 home defeat to Chelsea and throwing away an early lead. Hodgson was unhappy with the way the goals were conceeded from set piece plays.

  • Hodgson admitted he was happy with his team's work ethic, but rued missed opportunities as Chelsea picked up the win.



    "We got caught by the two set plays which is disappointing because set plays are a big part of the game and it they cost us", explained the ex-Inter Milan coach.



    "Some would say the Michael Ballack penalty was a penalty and some would say it wasn't.



    "Our attempt to follow the game plan was good as was our commitment."
