Marseille are closing in on the signing of former Arsenal midfield Abou Diaby, according to reports.

The France international is a free agent following his release from the Gunners earlier this summer.

Reports in France cite that the 29-year-old has agreed on a contract with Marseille, and will head to the Stade Velodrome in the coming days.

Diaby made a solitary league appearance in his last two seasons at the Emirates having suffered a series of undefined injuries.
