Brede Hangeland for Liverpool

06 January 2008 - 23:39

Brede Hangeland could be making a move to Liverpool or Everton after his agent remained firmly tight lipped of talks on a potential move for youngster.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The player has also reportedly changed his agent to that of Morton Gamst Pedersen's to help secure his move to Merseyside.

The 26 year old was linked with a move to the Premier League during the Summer but a move to any of the rumoured clubs including; Liverpool, Villa, City or Newcastle never materialised. However it now appears as though The Reds are close to signing the 6' 5" defender.

Hangeland’s towering presence draws comparisons with that of ageing stopper Sami Hyypia, and his agent Rune Hauge remained cautious when asked about reports of a move to Anfield.

“I have no comment to make on this matter,” he told NRK.
